How does the Process Work?

Following your initial consultation, if the attorneys are willing to take your cases, you will be asked to sign a retainer agreement if both you and our attorneys agree to our taking your case. This agreement states you wish to have The Heller Law Firm represent you throughout your legal proceedings.

Once you have signed a retainer agreement, our work on your case begins. Thorough research is often the key to a successful outcome. We gather all of the evidence surrounding the accident and its impact on your life.

Our examination of your personal injury claim can include securing medical and police records. We may employ investigators and other experts to assemble their opinions, communicate with our colleagues about similar cases, or contact various state agencies.

When we have gathered all applicable information, a lawsuit is filed. The defendant has 30 days to file an answer with the courts. Once the answer is filed, a judge is assigned to monitor its progress. Preparation for trial or settlement starts.

How Much Does it Cost?

Personal injury cases are handled on a contingency fee basis. If we do not obtain a financial recovery in your case, you will not be charged attorney's fees. If we are successful, you will be charged a fee at the end of your case based on a percentage of the money recovered.
